GO ON! Tell Your Story
Published by GIA in 2023, Drs. Julia Baumanis and LaToya Webb brought their dream to fruition and created a safe space for women band directors to tell their story in their own words. The book features the collected experiences of 100 women band directors and has sold out at every conference its traveled to. In 2025, Baumanis and Webb completed a book tour that took them around the US and across the pond to share the trailblazing stories in the book to women conductors and allies, promoting the podium as a safe space for all. A second edition of the book (focusing on creating a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ music community) in in the works, set to publish in year 2027.
